Vart tog de demokratiska värderingarna vägen? På eget initiativ, men med rasens bästa i baktanke, gjorde vi en utvärderingen av den data som finns tillgänglig på SKK & SCKS de senaste 10 åren. Vi gjorde det så faktabaserat vi kunde och såg till att lyfta fram både för- och nackdelar. Döm om våran förvåning när vi ser att våra experter svarat på SCKCS hemsida och ansett att vi i våran undersökning gjort ett flertalet felaktiga slutsatser! Självklart måste vi bemöta detta, då vi anser att inte bara svaret från våra experter är anmärknings- värt utan också sättet som detta har blivit hanterat. Får inte vi som medlemmar engagera oss i frågorna, eller skall vi tyst och utan eget intresse få deltaga? Nä, fram med en ärlig, öppen debatt, det är det enda som gagnar rasens utveckling!! Where are the democratic values? A independent survey, for the best for the breed, we evaluate the last 10 years data from SKK and SCKCS. We did it as correct as possible and really pushed the good things and bad things. We were very surprised finding comments from our experts regarding this survey at SCKCS homepage. Saying that we drawn serious wrong conlusions. Of course we need to answer on these accusations and also find it very strange how the whole case has been runed. Are we as members not allowed to envolve our self in these questions or should we just simply sit quite and without interest follow the discussion? In Sweden we have a Health Program in order to prevent murmur in early age. Year 2001 the Health Program started and it was said from the beginning that it would be evaluated after 5 years. We, who make this magazine, has a great interest in the Health Program and the difficulties that the breed has. On a independent basis we have collected and summariesed information to see what happen during these 5 years. This we have compared with the 5 year before, which are year 1996 to 2000. We want to strongly point out that this analyze is not for creating an opinion pro or against the Health Program. We simply did it because our concern for the breed and how it develops and want to share our knowledge with you. Per & Lena |
