Best regards,
Unni

January 2006

Happy New Year to all readers!

Yes, times goes fast – can’t remember that it
went that fast when I was younger… We put 2006
in printing and a new show year is standing outside.

Our first show will be in Sandefjord on the 20-21st
of January. I will come back on this with
pictures and the result of course.

In Norway all breeders are busy with planning for
going to UK, both for Crufts and the Club Show,
something that will be a real pleasure.

Also we are busy with counting the most winning
Cavalier, the list is ready and
the top-10 is as follow:

1. NUCH Jørsi's Heldig Gris
2. NUCH NV-05 Ricksbury Royal Crusader
3. NUCH Chili's Lucky King Of Warrior
4. N.U.Ch.EUJW-05  Freetain's A Great Diamond
5. Int.&Nord.Ch DKV-03NV-04 Absorbent Abbigale
6. N S UCH Chili's Lady Of Warrior
7.  NUCH NV-05 Chili's Blue Heaven
8. N SUCH Katia's Bandoolo Bayazz
9. N DK UCH Ariho's Iselind
10. Tibama's Ray Of Light

Also the Norwegian Club is busy to inform, sharing knowledge to breeders in order to have the lastest/best information.

New for this year is the breeder convent about breeding issues. This event
will start in January and goes around the whole
country during this year. The target group is mainly
the “new” breeders, but of course “oldies” are
welcome to participate. More information may
be found at: http://cavalierklubben.no/

NCK (Norwegian Cavalier Club) organize 3 CC shows, the first one is a double-show in Stavanger 20-21st
of May. Robert and Heather Lamont (Moorfield) from Ireland is judging on the 20th of May and Lucy Koster
(Harana) from UK is judging on the 21st of May.

On the 13th of August there is a CC show in the area
of “Østland”, judge will be Maxine Fox (Pamedna)
from UK. This is the same weekend as NKK Bjerke.

Sandefjord 21st of January 2006

The weather really showed it self from the worst side, many of the people that entered the show, took the decision of staying home instead, because of safety reasons. Flights that were cancelled also made the judge Ing-Marie Hagelin, Sweden not able to come.

Here are the results from our first show,
judge: Gunilla Skollmann, Sweden

Siri Lill Midthun have a bitch that gave birth to a
litter at 3 AM, unfortunately it was dead. Then it
took almost 9 hours and 20 minutes until next one
was born, fortunately a very healthy puppy.

At 5:30 PM all puppies were born, in total 6 puppies alive. According to vets and books it shouldn’t take
more than 2-3 hours between the puppies. Have anyone experienced the same situation as Siri, or maybe even longer times betweens the puppies.

Best regards,
Unni

DECEMBER MONTH

Participators at the Breeder Seminar 2005

The Breeders seminar went of at Quality Hotel at Mastemyr south of Oslo. 29 breeders of the breed that found it interesting. We started Friday the 4th November in the afternoon and kept on going until Saturday afternoon.

On Friday it was information developing, and discussions about
to carry on with the breed, after that we took a well deserved dinner and some was still sitting at the table late hour.

Saturday did we receive a visit from the board from NKK, Eivind Mjærum, that held a instructive lecture of the dogs anatomy.

Mjærum gave solid instructive information of the dog’s functions and what the different parts of the dog were doing, and differences in parts of breeds.

With questions and simple explanations he made the participator understand that a dog not just only is skeleton and structure whiteout fur and muscles is an important part of the
dogs anatomy.

After a good lunch did we continue the discussions about
breeding and rearing, and the breeders, and brought up the essence of our breeders work.
